Full-Gradient Optimization of the Vibroacoustic Performance of (Non-)auxetic Sandwich Panels

This paper aims to optimize vibro-acoustic response of (non-) auxetic sandwich panels by use topology optimization method. First, structural noise and vibration responses the panel with re-entrant hexagonal honeycomb core are studied. It is proved that interactions between vibrations induced more complex when expected for a low-frequency range, optimized reduction can be obtained proper combination non-auxetic properties within single structure. Therefore, applying full-gradient two-dimensional geometry method analyzed optimized. shown under various random loads, sound power level reduced about 20% at cost slight increase (< 5%) total mass. Besides, Eigen frequencies shifted lower values desirable applications, e.g., in aerospace industry. The results ensure proposed approach delivers extra as compared available literature.
